Job description:
- lead research activities in plasma sources, laser-plasma interaction aiming high-quality electron beam and dedicated electron beam transport with relevant electron beam diagnostics, as well as incoherent photon beam generation
- lead the preparation, commissioning and user operation of the relevant technologies
- active role in international collaborations in the relevant fields
- record, analyse and document results for communication through publications in peer-review journals and presentations at conferences and workshops
- contribute to the supervision of PhD students and work closely with other members of the plasma accelerator community at ELI-Beamlines
Requirements:
- PhD in physics (at least 5 years of work after defence) with practical experience in plasma-source development and development of relevant plasma and electron beam diagnostics
- ability to take initiative and perform tasks independently
- ability to lead activities of PhD students
- good track record in publications and participation in international collaborations in relevant fields
- good knowledge of spoken and written English
